About Emerson Skate Park

Emerson Skate Park is a renovated modern concrete facility at 301 S 10th St near downtown Grand Junction, Colorado. It reopened in November 2024 after a roughly $2.9 million redesign led by Team Pain Skate Parks, turning the 3.1-acre Emerson Park into a major regional draw for skateboarders, scooter riders, and BMX riders. The roughly 21,000–25,000 sq ft plaza is designed to sit under a mature, century-old tree canopy for natural shade. The bowl zone includes an intermediate bowl and an advanced pool-style bowl with a central hump and tight transitions. The street course offers quarter pipes, grind rails, ledges, drops, a wedge-to-wedge, and a bank. Amenities include lighting for night riding (subject to seasonal shutoff times), restrooms, trash and recycling, and a playground nearby for families. Parking on site is limited visitors sometimes note despite the quality of the park. Entry is free and open to the public.
