Mountain Dew Skate Park
About Mountain Dew Skate Park
Mountain Dew Skate Park (commonly called the Lewiston Skatepark) sits in Lewiston, Idaho, at these coordinates. Opened in April 2011, the roughly 12,000-square-foot concrete facility is one of the premier parks in the Inland Northwest. The Valley Skatepark Association spent more than a decade advocating before it was built—a major community effort. Location and access: 1114 Snake River Ave (some maps list 806 Snake River Ave), Lewiston, ID 83501. The setting is right along the Snake River, with strong views of the water and canyon while you skate. The park is open 24 hours and has high-end LED lighting for night sessions. Admission is free. The layout is known for transition: a large, high-speed flow bowl and a separate pool-style bowl with pro-grade coping; a classic snake-run carve section feeding the bigger transitions; and a street area with a 5-stair round bar (local favorite), hubba ledges, stairs, flat rails, and a pyramid funbox. The concrete is very smooth and fast and has aged well. Tips: it can get windy on the river—check gusts before you go, since a strong headwind can make clearing transitions harder. The park is unsupervised but helmets and pads are officially required. A past “no scooter” rule has varied in enforcement. The vibe skews toward transition and “concrete surfing”; it is a landmark in the Lewiston–Clarkston Valley and a strong stop if you are traveling through the panhandle.
