About Ponderosa Park Skatepark

Originally designed by Wormhoudt Inc. in 1997, Ponderosa Skatepark’s roots are defined by classic late-90s bowls and a signature concrete wave. When bedrock prevented traditional deep-bowl expansions, the park underwent a major 2014 overhaul to rethink the space. Spohn Ranch founder Aaron Spohn and lead designer Charlie Wilkins collaborated directly with PUSH of Oregon, hosting a series of community workshops to survey local skateboarders. Guided by this grassroots input, they designed a modern, above-grade street and flow plaza that perfectly complements the legacy transition, transforming Ponderosa into a comprehensive, multi-era park.
