About Swift Skatepark

Swift Skatepark, located inside the forested footprint of the 24.5-acre Water Works Park in Vancouver, Washington, is a historic public facility that dates back to the late-1990s Pacific Northwest concrete boom. Opened in the spring of 1998, this 12,000-square-foot park serves as an enduring artifact of early, aggressive transition design before modern street plazas or mellow, flowing geometries became standard. The park's layout is raw and unforgiving, characterized by weathered concrete, heavy vertical structures, and sharp transitions. It features deep transition pockets that connect abruptly to an enclosed, old-school street course configuration, creating a highly technical, fast-paced layout that favors experienced transition riders.
