Sunset Woods Skatepark

Sunset Woods Skatepark in Highland Park was fully redesigned and modernized in 2025 as part of a broader Sunset Woods Park revitalization. The older skatelite-style setup was replaced with a permanent poured-concrete layout featuring an updated bowl, modern street elements (including hubba ledges and flat bars), and improved flow lines for continuous skating. The grand opening was held June 21, 2025. The park is free, generally open daily, and unsupervised. It is located behind the downtown Highland Park area near Sunset Foods with nearby restrooms, water fountains, and shaded gazebo areas.
